The September 2025 edition of New York Fashion Week powered by Runway 7 unveiled one of its most imaginative moments with House of Puglielli, the avant-garde label redefining sustainable couture through craftsmanship, emotion, and fantasy.

A self-taught designer from Vitória, Brazil, Victor Puglielli has built a creative universe where fashion and art exist in seamless harmony. His latest collection, Avant-Gardens, presented at Sony Hall, invited audiences to envision what beauty might look like in other worlds — a dreamscape where flowers bloom on Mars and elegance takes on extraterrestrial form.

A Visionary in Sustainable Couture

Described by Puglielli as “Haute Couture by the eyes of an Avant-Garde Visionary Artist,” the collection embodies his lifelong fascination with the tension between nature and the unknown. Drawing inspiration from the biodiversity of the Amazon rainforest and the stark beauty of Death Valley, Avant-Gardens merges opposites: life and desolation, delicacy and power.

Each piece was meticulously handcrafted using techniques such as leather molding, gilding, embroidery, macramé, hand painting, and silicone work. Materials were repurposed, painted, and sculpted entirely by hand — a testament to the designer’s commitment to sustainability and artistry.

“This collection is about flowers in space,” Puglielli explained backstage. “Everything is handmade — leather, latex, even the transparent materials. They’re treated with gelatin, gold, and porcupine quills. I do all the painting and sculpting myself.

Flowers from Outer Space

For the Avant-Gardens runway presentation, Puglielli revealed a preview of what will become a 100-piece full collection to be released in 2026 — titled Avatar’s Awakening Dreams. Each look embodied the theme of “flowers from outer space”, combining futuristic silhouettes with tactile organic textures.

“This is just the beginning,” he shared in his post-show interview. “I’ve been working on this collection for over a year. It’s about women awakening to rule the world.”

From ethereal metallic leathers to intricate airbrushed details, the garments blurred the boundary between fashion and sculpture. The result was an otherworldly garden — lush, surreal, and defiantly modern.

From Brazil to the World

Before founding his label, Victor Puglielli’s creative path took him from Brazil to India and Bali, where he refined his artistry outside traditional fashion schools. This self-taught, experimental approach became the foundation for his design philosophy — one that merges Italian sophistication with Brazilian vibrancy.

Since its inception, House of Puglielli has captured global attention, earning features in Vogue Brasil and L’Officiel, and appearing on HBO’s Queen Star. His creations have been worn by global icons including Lady Gaga and Monét X Change, who embody the brand’s fearless, boundary-pushing aesthetic.

A Defining Moment in Runway 7 History

Puglielli’s Avant-Gardens was more than a show — it was a declaration of artistic independence and an invitation to reimagine what sustainable luxury can be. His presence at Runway  7 reaffirmed the platform’s mission to champion designers who merge innovation, consciousness, and creativity.

Through the language of couture, House of Puglielli is not only shaping garments but envisioning new worlds — where craftsmanship honors nature, and imagination has no limit.
