The second edition of Runway 7 Talks brought together designers eager to expand their vision and explore new opportunities at New York Fashion Week. Hosted by Leonardo, our Latin American Designer Relations Representative, the conversation focused on unlocking global exposure, understanding the depth of pre-production, and learning how to maximize every benefit Runway 7 offers.
Opening the Conversation
Leonardo opened by sharing his own journey and background, emphasizing his experience in Argentina Fashion Week and international productions. He highlighted that Runway 7 Talks isn’t just about learning logistics but about understanding the bigger picture: exposure, impact, and growth. Designers were encouraged to see participation not only as a runway opportunity but as an entry point to a global platform that amplifies their brand and creativity.
Insights on Preparation
A major theme of the session was the importance of pre-production. Leonardo stressed that a show of this scale requires four months of preparation from casting models to fittings, hair and makeup planning, promotional assets, and press outreach. By preparing early and aligning with the Runway 7 team, designers can focus their energy on perfecting their collection, knowing the operational details are fully supported.
Networking & Interaction
Leonardo also underscored the value of community and collaboration. Designers were reminded that Runway 7 provides constant support across marketing, PR, creative, and operations teams. With global reach in New York, Paris, Milan, and London, the platform connects each participant not only with local opportunities but also with an international network of creatives, influencers, celebrities, and press outlets.
Opportunities for Designers
The highlight of the talk was Leonardo’s introduction of the Argentina Designer Block named “Made in Argentina”, a special showcase dedicated exclusively to Argentinian designers at NYFW. The program offers packages with premium options of up to 20 looks, featuring model casting, promotional campaigns, 4K video coverage, LED runway visuals, and extensive press exposure. To make participation more accessible, flexible payment plans are also available. Leonardo emphasized that this initiative is about far more than a single show; it’s designed to create lasting visibility and recognition in global fashion markets.
A Community-Driven Experience
What stood out throughout Leonardo’s session was the passion for empowering emerging and established designers alike. Whether presenting 5 looks or 20, every participant receives the same dedicated support and guidance. Beyond the runway, Runway 7 also reinforces its mission of social responsibility by contributing part of ticket sales to meaningful causes, ensuring designers are part of a platform that blends fashion with positive impact.
Looking Ahead
As the session closed, designers left inspired, informed, and ready for what’s next. With Leonardo’s continued guidance, the upcoming Argentina showcase promises to be one of the standout moments of the NYFW February 2026 season.
Runway 7 Talks continues to evolve as a space where designers gain actionable insights, global opportunities, and a community that champions their creativity.
