On December 2nd, Puerto Rican designer Omayra “Ommy” Casillas Rodríguez appeared on Telemundo during the fashion segment of Hoy Día Puerto Rico, alongside host and fashion expert Desiree Lowry, to announce her upcoming participation in New York Fashion Week February 2026 under the Runway 7 platform.
During the live segment, Ommy showcased a preview of her vibrant designs, offering audiences an early look at the innovative artistry she will present at Sony Hall this coming February.

Ommy made her debut at ExpoModa Puerto Rico, captivating audiences with her handcrafted artistry. She later expanded her presence through West Fashion Week, establishing a strong local reputation and setting the stage for international growth.
Her textile jewelry has traveled globally through collaborations with celebrated Dominican–Lebanese designer Giannina Azar at major events such as Miami Swim Week and Los Cabos Fashion Week.
One of these collaborations earned international acclaim when Vogue Mexico & Latin America featured her piece—paired with an Azar design—as one of the Top Beachwear Trends for 2025, a milestone moment for Puerto Rican fashion.
Ommy also collaborated with Puerto Rican designer Sanel for the Trueque collection, showcased in Venice, Italy, further reinforcing her versatility and global artistic reach.
